A new life for great assets.Transparent auctions. Real possibilities. FRONTEND DEMO

Good questions.
Straightforward answers.

Everything you need to know about the ForgeBid demo.

Is this a real auction site?

No. ForgeBid is a frontend demonstration with fictional listings. Every bid, sign-in and listing draft is simulated locally. There are no payments or contractual commitments.

How do minimum bids work?

Your bid must be at least the current highest demo bid plus the stated increment. You may bid more than that minimum in whole rupees. The amount and auction status are checked again when you confirm.

Can I bid before an auction opens?

No. Bidding is available only while the auction is Live. Upcoming auctions display their opening countdown; ended auctions are read-only.

Where is my data saved?

Your demo profile, watchlist, bids and listing drafts are stored in localStorage in this browser. Passwords are never saved or sent. Clearing browser storage or resetting demo data removes your changes.

Can I inspect the equipment?

The assets are fictional. Inspection details and the contact form show how an inspection request could work, but no appointments are booked and no messages are sent.

Can sellers publish an auction?

Sellers can create, preview, save and delete drafts. Publishing is deliberately unavailable because this project has no backend or real authentication.

Why have auction dates changed after rebuilding?

The mock schedule is refreshed before development and production builds so the catalog includes Live, Upcoming and Ended examples. Saved browser bids are separate; reset demo data for a fresh session.

Can I access this demo on another device?

The public catalog can be viewed wherever the local app is accessible, but saved activity stays with each browser. There is no account synchronization or authoritative bidding service.
